Abstract

SDN 1 and SDN 2 Tanjung Glugur, Mangaran District, Situbondo Regency, still teach mathematics and numeracy conventionally; students' basic arithmetic skills are low, interactive digital media are not yet used, and teachers' competence in designing digital numeracy media is limited. This Village Community Empowerment-Based Service (PBPMD) activity aimed to improve teachers' competence in using Wordwall as digital learning media and to determine students' responses to Wordwall-based numeracy literacy learning. The activity ran from 19 June to 21 July 2026 using a participatory approach consisting of preparation, training for teachers, implementation of basic fraction lessons for 41 students in grades IV–VI (24 at SDN 1 and 17 at SDN 2), mentoring, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation and a five-point Likert student response questionnaire and analysed descriptively and quantitatively. Teachers were able to create accounts, design interactive activities and quizzes, and share Wordwall links with students. Positive student responses (strongly agree and agree) reached 88.80% at SDN 1 and 98.45% at SDN 2. Wordwall was well received, made numeracy learning more interactive, and increased student engagement, so it has the potential to be used sustainably in both partner schools.
