1. License used. All articles in MAVIS: Jurnal Desain Komunikasi Visual are published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). The copyright holder of each article is stated on the article, as explained in the Copyright Policy.

2. What users may do. Anyone may read, download, copy, print, and redistribute the articles in any medium or format, and may remix, transform, and build upon them for any purpose, including commercial purposes, under the following terms:

  • Attribution: give appropriate credit (authors, title, journal, volume, issue, year, DOI), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
  • ShareAlike: if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contribution under the same license.
  • No additional restrictions: you may not apply legal terms or technological measures that restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

3. Open access. MAVIS does not charge readers any subscription or access fee. Publication costs for authors are described on the Author Fee page.

4. License statement on articles. The first page of each article states the license (CC BY-SA 4.0), the copyright holder, and the DOI. From Vol. 9 No. 1 (2027) onward the copyright line reads © [Year] by the authors. The same information appears on the article landing page in OJS.

5. Metadata. Article metadata (title, authors, abstract, keywords, references, DOI) is freely available and may be harvested through OAI-PMH and Crossref.
