The low interest in literacy among children in Indonesia remains a problem that requires attention, especially for children aged 6-12 years who are at the stage of learning through new skills, critical thinking, and understanding information. On the other hand, technological developments have made children feel more familiar with the use of gadgets and digital media compared to conventional book reading activities. This study aims to design an Augmented Reality (AR) based illustrated book with the theme "Time Ticket" as a medium to increase literacy interest in children aged 6-12 years. The method used is Design Thinking, including Empathize, Define, Ideation, Prototype, and Test. The design results in a printed illustrated book integrated with AR features and additional audio to support the delivery of stories and information to children. Through the theme "Time Ticket", this book also conveys moral values about how important it is to value time in everyday life. The integration of illustrated books and AR technology produces innovative literacy media and is tailored to the characteristics and preferences of children aged 6-12 years.
