Digital entrepreneurship has become an important phenomenon in Indonesia, particularly among the younger generation, due to the rapid expansion of digital technologies and the digital economy. This review article examines the role of digital entrepreneurship in enhancing business performance of Indonesian youth-led ventures by synthesizing findings from existing literature. The discussion highlights the development of digital entrepreneurship in Indonesia, the characteristics of young entrepreneurs, and the utilization of social media, marketplaces, and e-commerce platforms as key drivers of entrepreneurial activities. The review further explores how digital entrepreneurship contributes to business performance through increased sales, broader market access, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced innovation capabilities. In addition, the article identifies several challenges faced by youth-led digital ventures, including digital literacy gaps, intense market competition, technological adaptation, and limited access to resources. To address these challenges, the study emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital competencies, entrepreneurial skills, and collaborative support from government institutions, universities, and industry stakeholders. The findings suggest that digital entrepreneurship serves as a strategic mechanism for promoting business growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic development in Indonesia. Therefore, fostering a supportive digital entrepreneurial ecosystem is essential for enhancing the competitiveness and long-term competitiveness of Indonesian youth-led ventures in the digital era.
